Galerie Lilja Zakirova  Galeriehoudster Lilja Zakirova (Moskou, 1964) kwam in 1993 naar Nederland, waar ze een galerie/kunsthandel begon. Door haar studie Kunstgeschiedenis aan de Academie van Cultuur in Moskou en haar werkzaamheden in verschillende Russische musea, heeft zij een intense voeling met de artistieke wereld in Moskou gekregen en regelmatig is zij in de Russische hoofdstad om kennis te nemen van nieuwe ontwikkelingen in de kunst en bezoekt zij ateliers. Zij zoekt bij kunstenaars de synthese van een aangeboren aanleg en een klassieke opleiding, waarna zij het academisme kunnen loslaten en een eigen stijl gaan ontwikkelen. Inhoudelijk kiest zij voor algemene menselijke waarden als onderwerpen in de kunst, waarbij een niet materialistische levensvisie voorop staat. Als leitmotiv geldt voor de galeriste Lilja Zakirova een beeldende uitspraak van de filosoof Emmanuel Kant: "De mens blijft steeds geboeid door de sterrenhemel en het uitspansel boven ons en tegelijkertijd door de innerlijke ongeschreven wet van ons geweten binnen in ons".   De galerie organiseert zo'n zes tentoonstellingen per jaar en neemt deel aan nationale en internationale beurzen; in Nederland is de galerie vertegenwoordigd op de KunstRai in Amsterdam; internationaal profileert Lilja Zakirova zich op ArtBasel.   In het jaar 2000 zal Galerie Lilja Zakirova een nieuw fotoproject exposeren van Rauf Mamedov, rondom het thema Adam en Eva.   Eveneens is een tweede tentoonstelling gepland van het werk van de jonge Nederlandse kunstenares Iris van Dongen..   Vanzelfsprekend staan ook vervolgexposities van inmiddels vaste kunstenaars van de galerie Anwar Abdoullaev en Larissa Naumova op het programma. Terug	Lilja Zakirova Gallery  In 1993 gallery owner Lilja Zakirova (Moscow, 1964) arrived in the Netherlands, where she founded a gallery/art shop. Because of her art history studies at the Academy of Culture in Moscow and her activities in different Russian museums, she is entirely tuned in to the artistic world in Moscow. She frequents the Russian capital to take note of the latest developments in art and to visit studios. What she is looking for in artists is the synthesis of an innate talent and a classical education, after which they are able to let go of their academicism and begin to develop their own style. For subject matter she chooses themes in art that deal with general human values, and a non-materialistic outlook on life should be prominent. The leitmotif that applies to gallery owner Lilja Zakirova is a figurative saying by philosopher Emmanuel Kant "Man remains fascinated both by the star-spangled skies and the heavens above and at the same time by the inner unwritten law of our conscience within us."   The gallery annually organises some six exhibitions and partakes in national and international art fairs; in the Netherlands the gallery is represented at the Kunst Rai in Amsterdam; internationally Lilja Zakirova presents herself on ArtBasel.   In the year 2000 the Lilja Zakirova Gallery will exhibit a new photo project by Raul Mamedov, around the theme of Adam and Eve.   Besides, a second exhibition has been planned of work by the young Dutch artist Iris van Dongen.   Naturally, further exhibitions of Anwar Abdoullaev and Larissa Naumova, by now regular artists of the gallery, are scheduled as well.
